A new chapter emerges! And a big thankyou to the community

blog 4.
Well I am back guys its been about two weeks since my last blog sorry about that.
Its been an interesting and exciting two weeks for me.
I received a specialist game colour set from Vallejo which is fantastic so I will be doing a little review on that soon.
Also I received a weathering green set from Vallejo as well cant wait to have a go with that bad boy! again i will do a review on that for you guys.

I also finished my ork warboss which i was pleased with. Had some nice comments back about it.It made me want to start painting more orks lol.
So where am i at the moment well this week i have been painting up my deathwing terminators with thunderhammers and stormshields at the moment i think they are looking good sorry there is no pictures but there will be soon.
But the interesting part of my week was when i was painting these terminators.
And i had a little idea i am going to build a huge deathwing army and ravenwing army yeah baby!
The deathwing army will consist of terminators of course and mechanised units like landraiders,predators,whirlwinds,rhinos,drop pods and any other tanks i can get my hands on lol.
And my ravenwing will be the bike squads,landspeeders,stormravens and stormtalons and they will have drop pods because i am going to do infantry units as well.
So i am going to strip down my dark angel figures and turn them into ravenwing. Because i don't play the games it does not matter what colour scheme i use or what units i have in each army.
Its going to be my little baby well actually a huge baby so i will keep you posted on this with pictures as i finish units.
On that note i am going to go so stay safe be happy and have fun painting.

Hi everybody hope your all well.
Well this is blog number 3 and today i am going to show you something i have just finished. and my next w.i.p so here goes.
Over on your right is a chaos lord on a lava base sorry about photos need to get new camera but saving up is hard at the moment got to stop buying miniatures first ha ha.
I painted the base with wild rider red from GW(which is more orange than red)and flash gitz yellow both are layer paints the yellow was very thin.
I washed the top of the base with agrax earthshade from GW.
The back of the cloak was done with abaddon black base.And the inside of the cloak i used khorne red base both from GW.All gold work was done with gehenna's gold layer paint GW.

The spine on the back and horns were done with ceramite white base colour all other bone work was done with karak stone mixed with a bit of white to lighten it.
The fur cloak was drybrushed xv-88 base colour then drybrushed on top with karak stone layer from GW.

TIPS.

1. GWbase paint is quite thick so you may need to water it down on your palette especially the white.
2. If you find that the layer paints are to thin then put some on your palette as it starts to dry up it will thicken.
3. GW paint pot lids have a tendency to keep dropping back down on your brush when using them.so instead of trying to hold them open with your hand and getting paint on them.open the lid fully and slide a pencil or similar through the hinge at the back of the bottle to keep it wedged open.
4. Always make sure the tops of the pots are fully on before shaking as i know from previous experience of cleaning paint from the floor ha ha.
5. And finally try to wipe the build up of paint from the rim of the top of the pot to stop build up and prevent the lid from closing properly

Hi again everybody.
just want to introduce myself abit more to you and what kind of things i will be sharing on my blogs with you over the coming future.
My name is Jason prior i live in England in a city called oxford known worldwide for its universities.
I have been doing this hobby now for nearly a year and i love it.
I don't airbrush at the moment but i am looking at getting one in the future.i love dark angels that is my main army that i am working on.But i also have a small chaos and ork army i am doing as well.

Things i will be doing on my blogs is.

1. sharing wip pictures and comments.
2. doing reviews on products that are involved in our hobby
3. talking about different techniques like painting,building,sculpting basically try and cover everything i can to help myself and you guys have a broader knowledge of the hobby.
